Institute for Immunity, Transplantation and Infection

Research Overview

At the Institute for Immunity, Transplantation and Infection (ITI), we are asking critical questions that will revolutionize the way we combat these diseases: How can we develop more powerful vaccines to prevent millions of people from dying each year from infectious diseases? How can we prevent the body’s defense system from turning on itself and attacking its own cells, tissues, and organs? How can we stimulate the growth of active cells in failing organs? These are just a few of the questions scientists and clinicians from across disciplines are exploring at the Institute.  At ITI, we are asking critical questions that will revolutionize the way we combat these diseases: How can we develop more powerful vaccines to prevent millions of people from dying each year from infectious diseases?
